Retrace services can only be used once per case. All non-premium address trace cases are charged a retrace fee* - this fee is charged due to the further data required to confirm*

*A retrace will only check the sourced information was correctly reflected from third party sources at the time of supply.

The details below are in reference to the retrace which is chargeable to all cases apart from Premium cases.

Please make sure to select the correct option for original service ordered or your retrace will be deleted when the original order is verified.

Only premium customers can use the premium option.

All non-premium cases are charged a retrace fee

  • Basic | Full retrace fee of £29.99 available for 30 days from order date*

  • Standard | Reduced retrace fee of £12.00 available for 30 days from order date*

  • Premium | Free of charge available for 60 days from order date*

Please note this retrace service is only valid for address tracing cases and excludes all other services such as financial background checks and pre-sue reports.

Make sure to also only use this service within the retrace timeframe offered.

Premium cases are backed by a 60 day retrace policy. Basic & standard cases can only use this service up to 30 days from original order date or you will need to order a new trace request.

DebtTrace® is a fully automated service and we do not enter into any discussion around supplied information.

DebtTrace® is a automated information supply service that offers no guarantee to the validity of information supplied, the information is normally highly accurate and is blended with multiple sources of data including the multiple UK Credit Agency sources with manual oversight but information is supplied on a full and final basis with no guarantee or support.

DebtTrace® do not offer free retracing on its standard or basic debtor tracing services (excludes our premium tracing services which offers free of charge retracing). As such we recommend all debt tracing cases are submitted after 4 weeks of moving date and on that basis 99.9% of debtor tracing cases will show the current not old address of the debtors residence. This is conditional on the debtor being in the U.K. and conducting normal financial behaviour. This behaviour would include but not limited to one of the following situations - paying bills in their name at the new address, informing any creditors of their new address, updating banking or credit providers of their new address directly or indirectly, using a postal redirect service or applying for credit at the new address or being credit active.

Free retraces or refund guarantees are not offered for any client (apart from our premium tracing services but limited to retracing only i.e. no refund guarantees) or for any results provided regardless of the data accuracy within a report. All services on this site are supplied as full and final reports without any financial guarantee or refund including single cases & batch tracing.

We do currently offer retracing on premium cases and for all other cases on a paid check basis available here.

If a case or retrace is incorrect for any reason it is not underwritten by DebtTrace® and no correspondence will be entered into about the case.

Information is supplied as is and has no indemnity around the accuracy or integrity of the supplied data. The address provision data is only supplied where multiple Credit agencies show the supplied address as the subjects current address location with our manual oversight also confirming this supplied data is a verified address but there can be multiple reasons that data can be disputed.

What to do if you believe the information is incorrect

If you have an issue with the supplied retrace data we suggest that you wait a further 6 weeks and then re order a new DebtTrace® search to re verify the data is still showing the same information. If all Credit agencies still point to the supplied address it would be a good indicative confirmation and then the next step would be too verify further by means of physical doorstep verification by use of a professional Process Server, Bailiff or HCEO.

For the avoidance of doubt, the DebtTrace service is a system of automated data provision but under no circumstances do we underwrite or enter into correspondence around the supplied information.

This is how we keep our prices so low, by eliminating the need for customer service functions and automating the whole debtor tracing data supply process.

DebtTrace® supply a trace report when multiple credit agencies and internal data sets point to the supplied address being the only indicated live address for the subject in the U.K. backed up by other third party data sources confirming the supplied address is current but we do not indemnify the supplied data, as agreed by customers at the point of purchase on our terms of service agreement tick box.

Retraces are not offered for any client (apart from our premium tracing services and only via our retrace request in the online shop here) or for any results provided by this DebtTrace® site regardless of the data accuracy within a report. 

All services on this site are supplied as full and final reports without any guarantee, discussion, retrace or refund. Only premium services can revalidate information using the online retrace request in the online shop for free here.

All services on this site are supplied as full and final reports without any guarantee or refund.

All service pricing listed on this website excludes VAT at the normal U.K. rate and VAT will be added at checkout stage.

Any customer using this retrace service agrees to select the correct service option ie basic, standard or premium with the correct corresponding case fee paid or their case will be deleted without further correspondence.

Important information

All address tracing is fee per case and any refunds (where no current address can be verified excluding retraces) will be placed within 24 hours of negative trace result provision. All tracing is completed within 24 hours normally and a maximum of 7 days.

All supplied cases and reports including batch tracing are full and final and are not offered with any recheck service (apart from our premium tracing services). Importantly all fees paid are non refundable on completion of service and delivery of the DebtTrace™ report for all services including all premium options.

Our data is very accurate but on occasion data might still show a previous address and on these occasions we suggest you wait 6 weeks and request a new trace at the fee displayed. We do suggest that all cases are instructed after 4 weeks from move out date of the last known supplied address to minimise this risk.

Pre-sue/litigation reports, financial background reports and investigations are also fee per case due to the complexity of the cases and are non refundable as we can only report our findings of a given situation. Turnaround of these reports are a maximum of 7 days but normally in just 48 hrs.

For the avoidance of doubt we do not offer any guarantee or refund of address tracing cases or indeed any debtor trace or debtor trace with financial information and customers would need to request a new case (chargeable) after 6 weeks for these address trace cases where further investigation is needed to verify or confirm an address at the advertised rate.

Credit Agency datasets & other sensitive data use

Datasets are only used where permitted by the supplier and UK data / GDPR compliance requirements. For example Credit Agency data is only used for Debt, Financial claim or Asset reunification purposes.We do not offer family or friend tracing or any other people tracing where consent is required from the subject of the trace. Where tracing an individual falls outside of these uses we would seek to trace the subject of the search using other compliant investigative means including permitted datasets.Any mention of Credit agency use on this website or its individual pages does not indicate that it will be used on any service without the correct validation and authorisation that the case passes the data assessment for its use. To underscore, all cases submitted to us are subject to our data impact assessment prior to processing. As such any submitted case would only use data where permissible by UK Law, GDPR, our internal compliance requirements, passing our internal third party impact assessment and third party data supplier requirements.

Summary

Retraces are not offered for any client or for any results provided regardless of the data accuracy within a report (apart from our premium tracing services limited to one free validation of information supplied, subsequent retrace submissions will be chargeable for any resubmitted case)

All services on this site are supplied as full and final reports without any guarantee or refund including single cases & batch tracing, only premium traces are offered with a single retrace and recheck of information but this is limited to one recheck of the supplied information and not offered with any further guarantee or refund option.
